Interests
Rayyan is currently enrolled in the 2nd year of Robotics Engineering at Queen Mary University of London. He has been recently appointed as a board member of the Queen Mary Centre for Undergraduate Research. Prior to that he studied medical sciences at the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He has completed internships at ÄIKE (via QMUL & Liberty Communications) focused on micro-mobility solutions and their implementation across the city of London. He has also founded a startup designed to combat ill mental health and promote mindfulness. His main research interests lie in neural engineering, human-machine interaction for rehabilitative applications and neuro-robotics, where he intends to explore many of these topics in detail throughout his academic career. At QMCUR, his research will be focused on brain-computer interfaces under the supervision of Dr Thilina Lalitharatne.
