Jake Seah is currently a Biomedical Engineering student enrolled in the 2nd year and has been recently appointed as a researcher and co-creator at QMCUR. Prior to working for QMCUR, Jake spent two years as an automotive technician, specialising in electrical and drivetrain maintenance. Subsequently, he gained experience in advanced data analysis, feasibility studies and industrial team working during his interns at both Sanken and Plastic Injection Indonesia. At QMUL, he founded the QMUL Food Society to create a space for people of different backgrounds to share diverse culinary cultures. In his spare time, Jake enjoys reading history and cooking with unfamiliar ingredients.
With aspirations in surgical engineering and oncology research, Jake's research at QMCUR will be focused on the designs of microfluidic chips to allow the formation of microvascularised spheroid models under the supervision of Prof Julien Gautrot.
