Ms Michaela Lastovickova, a third-year Materials Engineering student has been selected for CERN's prestigious Summer Student Program. With a deep passion for radiation detectors and subatomic particle interactions, Michaela stood out in this highly competitive selection process, earning her place among over 10,000 applicants!

The paid summer program, running from June to August, typically features an exceptional schedule of lectures and will offer an invaluable opportunity to further develop her expertise and investigative skills.

As Michaela prepares to graduate this summer, QMCUR hopes to retain her within its research community, supporting her ongoing research and fostering collaborations during her future studies, ensuring her talent remains closely connected to our institution.
