Barbaros Zeren supervised by Dr Rehan Shah, and Hana Emma Habidi mentored by Dr Jae-Hwan, received this prestigious scholarship, evidencing the high calibre of our research students. The award enabled them to spend four weeks at the King's College in Cambridge, during the July-August period.

Barbaros remarked that the immersive atmosphere of the university made him reflect on the outstanding scientists who had worked there, such as Alan Turing and Isaac Newton. He had the opportunity to interact with academic staffs in engineering and experts from various fields, including economics, arts, film studies, and philosophy, significantly broadening his research horizons.

Hana felt that the scholarship provided a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, learn about innovative approaches to sustainable farming using robotics, and participate in an experiment with a robotic thumb, enhancing her understanding of robotics applications in neuroscience.

This experience has allowed both Barbaros and Hana to gain valuable skills, which will help them advance in their respective research sector and has contributed to further enriching the intellectual capital of our research team.
